Today I was watching some tv show on Hulu and an ad for a Hallmark talking card or book or something of the sort came on. It was cute, I love those ads, but at the end, one of the flashing catch phrases said "Life is a special occasion." It struck me. It kind of embarrasses me that I need a commercial to get through to me when I have so many other great things and sources but I guess its what I needed.
I started to think about how... I guess unhappy I've been. I am so nauseous and tired but I can't seem to sleep and I throw up ALL the time and I am always starving but nothing sounds good and school is hard. So I just complain, a lot. Luckily I have a very understanding husband but I can see that it is starting to wear on him.
I have decided that, at least for now, I am going to start thinking about life as a special occasion. I really have so much going for me- school, a major that interests me, my camera (I just love it), Jake, being pregnant, a nice apartment, good friends, supportive family.
I think that for now, everything gets to be a little celebration of the special occasion that is today.
